Both are very powerful platforms. From what I understand (limited at this point) forge brings all platforms together to share data.. I'll have to learn more and blog about it ;-)Scott Chattertonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11193678982747957231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5758535376251163380.post-85800910337465338082018-11-23T03:35:31.733-08:002018-11-23T03:35:31.733-08:00I heard others talking about Forge. It has definite power in its object data. I do agree it is a BIM Platform, however I do personally feel that Revit is a better platform for Building Design. Much like ACA it can suit the needs of small to complex projects according to your needs.
Either way as long as your utilizing BIM your on the right path ;-)Scott Chattertonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11193678982747957231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5758535376251163380.post-26160793205639601072018-11-22T10:17:31.848-08:002018-11-22T10:17:31.848-08:00I have used AutoCAD since version 2.5 in DOS. It brings together the clean basic Cad command style input of AutoCAD with a library of style based AEC objects with intelligent dynamic properties.
AutoDesk has spent so much effort defining BIM as the Revit platform when th ‘‘tis simply untrue. Acad arch is a BIM platform just as much. The objects are smart, dynamic, doors & windows connect to the walls. It can produce dynamic schedules, elevations, details and sections.
It is also a much more stable product than Revit with a much more solid graphics engine. Revit is just too heavy for what you get from it.
Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13940928643274265035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5758535376251163380.post-68007629318780305412017-10-31T16:42:14.835-07:002017-10-31T16:42:14.835-07:003 words: AutoCAD help Sucks.
